Solved Computer won't power up

June 7, 2018 at 20:42:10
Specs: Windows 7
When I hit the power on switch the blue power monitor light comes for 1 sec, 3 fans come on, then it all quits. Only the power monitor light on mother board remains lit inside the desktop PC housing.

It sound like your power supply is bad if it is a desktop computer.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

Have you tried removing the power cable, & holding the power button down for 15seconds, then plugging it back in & starting the PC?

Yep it was the power supply. What really made this tricky was that the new replacement PS was also faulty. Enter another used PS ... all good now!
Thanks for suggestions on this.

Thanks for letting us know. Good (New) power supplies are not very expensive (at least in the US) if you shop carefully. Next time if you like we can make suggestions.
