Specs: Windows 7, 1gb
Help me out please. I just changed my pc and got a new motherboard. I installed my previous harddisk, ram and ati radeon card on it. Motherboard model Asus p5vd2 mx-se. I installed windows seven first and winodws vista now on it. It works fine but suddenly in between everything it slows down and goes almost like a dead pc. Everything gets slow. I uninstalled AVG but it didnot fix my problem. Now i installed it back and plugged out my graphic card today and still it didnot solve my problem. I uninstalled google chrome but still it persists. It happens on both the windows 7 and vista. I don't know what to do. Mind you when i reinstalled windows on the harddisk taht was attached to my old pc, i just formatted C drive and left e and d though i had formatted them previously. Can you please help me out? It's really serious for me

Why would you install both Win7 & Vista? Win7 is an improved version of Vista....it's basically what Vista should have been. Anything you can do in Vista, you can do in Win7. Vista is just a waste of space on your hard drive.

Other than that, it sounds like your system is overheating & throttling. Since you said you replaced the baord, my guess is you didn't properly attach the heatsink to the CPU.

OH i m sorry for misunderstanding.. I HAVE NOT INSTALLED VISTA AND SEVEN TOGETHER! I meant that i have installed both of these once stand alone on my pc. Means first i solely installed seven and the problem ws there. then i formatted and installed vista and the problem is still there. Overheating hmm.. I didnot attach the motherboard myself. Got it attached on a shop. My system has 80gb harddrive, 1gb ram and on board graphics as i have decided not to use my graphic card with the pc. Mind you my processor is also the one that i had on my old motherboard. My old motherboard was a Dell GX280. I am hearing from someome that it may be Asus motherboard p5vd2 mx-se not compatible with vista and 7. can you please help out?
