computer will not turn on, fan working

October 25, 2010 at 13:49:25
Specs: Windows 64
Turned off the computer before bed, next morning went to turn on and will not turn on. No beeps, no noise etc... All the fan are spinning.

Any ideas what could be the issue? Power supply is new and since fans running, that is eliminated.

Maybe processor or motherboard?

Please help, dont want to go buying alot of un needed costly things.

Thank you!

"Power supply is new and since fans running, that is eliminated. "

Not always true, I've seen power supplies running like that and not producing enough power to run a PC.
I would suspect it to be that, even if you said it is new. They have defects too...you didn't say how old it was.

Some HELP in posting on Computing.net plus free progs and instructions Cheers

The power supply is about 6 months old. The fan is running so I assume the power supply is working.

Think it could be the motherboard or processor?
