Computer randomly shuts off

Specs: Windows XP
My computer seems to run fine for maybe 5 minutes or so. then it randomly shuts off. i jsut built it like 3 hours ago. and i cant figure out what is wrong. i have a 700w power supply powering 4 fans total (CPU, front, side, power supply fan) i have 2g ram with a nvidia 9800 gt graphics card. my bios says my temperature for my CPU is 77F.
Did i do something wrong with the heatsink or something... everything looks in working order. it seemed to work better before the graphics card. could the compatibility with my OS be the problem?

Can you give more specs on your psu besides 700 watts ? In particular, how many amps on the +12 V rail(or rails) ?

I've never heard of a CPU running at 77 degrees Fahrenheit, are you sure that's correct?

And are you saying that after about five minutes of running, the computer ALWAYS shuts off?

77 degrees Fahrenheit is 25 degrees Centigrade. I've seen cpu temps like that. However, if it's really 77 degrees Centigrade, then the cpu is overheating.
