Specs: Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition, 2.109 GHz / 1983 MB
Well this has been like this for a while and i
can't seem to figure out how to fix the problem.
For some reason when i go to open a certain 1
or 2 folders, the whole computer freezes (the
screen), and i have to alt-ctl-del and end prog.
for it to fix this jam. But i still can't get into my folder. Does anyone know why i can't get
access to my folder? If so, please reply as
quick as you are able, cos this problem is
annoying me.

Is this a program folder or just a folder you created to store things like pictures etc.? If it's a program folder and it freezes, perhaps the program is corrupt and needs to be reinstalled.

Its just a folder that i created on my eternal hard-drive to put my
movies. Well actually i have a movies folder, but then about three
folders in then thats where the folder is that won't open.

I would run CHKDSK on the drive. Goto Start -> Run -> type chkdsk and hit run. This will run a directory scan and check for problems. When it finds certain problems Windows will ask you to restart and when it does it will give you like a 10 second countdown. Let it scan and it will usually fix the problem automatically from this point. Post your results Best of Luck.
