|I recently plugged my computer in again so that I could take some files from it to use on my new laptop. The PC has been stored in my Dads garage for the best part of a year, I dont think there has been any damp, but its likely to have been quite cold in there.|
At first when I hooked her up she worked fine. I hooked her up to the laptop to transfer the files over that I wanted, but as I was waiting for them to copy over, the computer shut itself down unexpectedly. I tried to turn it on again but the screen said 'No signal, Entering sleep mode' or something along those lines. This obviously didnt make sense as it had been working a minute ago. The box seemed to still be running, I could hear fans and all the lights were on.
I tried resetting it by turning the power button on the back off then on again as the one on the front doesnt turn it off. I had the same message again. I did this a few times, and tried turning it off at the plug socket a few times too. Still the same.
I dont know what to do. Im not a computer expert in any sense. Ive never had a problem with this PC in all the years Ive had it.
