Specs: Windows XP
The cursor on my mother's compaq presario notebook won't move. I don't know why, but that little arrow just won't move. She has tried restarting the computer, but to no avail. How is this problem fixed? She uses the touch-sensitive mouse pad square that is used to move the arrow on most laptops and also to click.

Most laptops (such as mine,) have a small button above the keypad. It is usually a very thin sliver-like button. Press that, and your mouse won't work; press it again, and your problem is solved.
