Solved Combination of an i5-4570 with a GT 1030 a bottleneck?

Specs: Windows 10, i5-4570 / 8 GB
Hello,

i got an issue with the cmbination of an Intel Core i5-4570 + an ASUS GeForce GT 1030 (which i bought to upgrade the pc to make it last some more time)´. I thought as the grapics card is superior to the integrated Intel graphics i'm on the safe side - but this website: https://pc-builds.com/calculator/Co...
tells me this certain combination is a 100% bottleneck ... i wonder if this is true or if it's an error of the calculator (cause how can it be a bottleneck when the grapics card is actually like 3 times faster than the IGP)?

Thanks ahead for any advice, i'd and could really appreciate it

The Motherboard is a ASRock B85 Pro4, if it matters
and the PC is not one to be used for gaming, only low profile games if so + some office and photo editing

That's good, a gamer never would have never purchased a GT 1030. The bottleneck calculator is generally helpful for choosing a card for gaming. Since you won't be using the PC for gaming, you shouldn't have any problems.

thanks for the quick reply, good to know that i misinterpreted the bottleneck results.

just one last follow up question to clarify the graphics card choice ... beside gaming ... will it have considerable benefits to use this card or would it be more or like equal perfomance without it just using the IGP ... like will the PC be a little faster, smoother to work with, faster loading times, ... or no differnce in real world experience ... i ask because it might be able to return the card.

you will have slightly more free ram, as the IGPU uses the RAM ram as VRAM

you could have better rendering times as you can use CUDA acceleration.

hardware acceleration for video playback is nice, you can watch high resolution video at higher frame rates than on the IGPU.
gt 1030: Maximum Digital Resolution = 3840 × 2160 @ 120 Hz or 7680 × 4320 @ 60 Hz

your i5-4570 (haswell) IGPU (HD 4600) can handle up to 1920x1080@60fps

so the 1030 can handle about 8x more :)

Be aware that there are 2 models being sold, a ddr4 model and a GDDR5 model.

There's no guarantee, as "games" have different requirements (and that is understatement). There's no universal value of "load" for a computer game, so how are you going to measure your CPU versus a GPU ? The information is based on a general area of power.

I don't think your CPU will be a bottleneck, as a 1030 is not world's fastest card, is it ?

Also check you monitor, it may be able to run 60FPS max anyway

@ Looge - thanks, right, but as mentioned i don't need it for gaming, i just didn't know the bottleneck calculator is specified for gaming. no it isn't worlds fastest, but an improvement to the IGP and without fans ;-)
