Solved CMOS battery for Dell Insprion 1545

I need to get a small sliver round CMOS battery for a dell inspiron 1545 computer. Where can I buy one of these? What number is the battery? and how much do they cost?

Most likely it's a CR2032 but it would be best to open the case & check. It's a common battery used for a lot of different devices. You can get them just about anywhere batteries are sold, they're just a couple of bucks.

I'm sure riider is correct for that laptop...just the 2032 battery with no leads or other weird stuff like many laptops.

Looks like replacing the "coin-cell" battery is going to be a lot more complicated than I thought. The entire laptop needs to be disassembled & the motherboard removed. Not for the squeamish:

Thanks so much! For just a couple of bucks, I can afford to try it. I did go on-line and looked at how to replace the battery...does look a little complicated. What was Dell thinking? Argh...I will let you all know how it goes. It may be a little over a week from now, but looking forward to trying it out. Thanks again! :)
