Enter the BIOS and set the correct date and time there.
This should help.

Hi Paul,
No that's not the answer Paul, as I had already set CMOS and save 3 separate times an always after reboot the time is still right but the year has jumped to 2094'. I have never seen any thing like it. Can you think of something else?
thank you,
Aaron

real time clock is bad.

1/3 of highway deaths are caused by drunks. The rest are by people who can't drive any better than a drunk.

Hi Aaron,

was the clock/calender working before you fitted the new battery?

If so, I would suspect the battery is deficient, or not fitted correctly.

Stuart's suggestion regarding the Y2k problem is reasonable. Try proving it, by setting a date in 1995, or similar, and see what happens when the pc is next switched on.

If you are only running dos on it, without internet access, I would not expect it to change the date to current.

As a matter of interest, where are you located? I am in Hammersmith, West London.

Good luck - Keep us posted.
