Changed motherboard, cpu and ram not h/drive

Specs: Windows XP
Hi I have changed mohter baord, cpu and Ram as old one got very slow and then the Power supply failed. I powered up the new equipment and it starts up in black screen with choice of safe mode options but it wont boot windows, does this mean I cant use my old Hard Drive with all my files and O/System what can I do ?

You have to reinstall Windows because of the motherboard change. You *should* be able to perform a "repair installation".

How did you get to be DAVE? I tried that back in 2000 or whenever I signed up here and couldn't get it because it was taken. But this appears to be your first time here.
