There are no drivers for a dvd player. If it's dead, it shouldn't show in device manager or my computer. The usb dvd player should be recognized when you plug it in and boot up.

The DVD Drives is till regconized in Device Manager DVD/VD-ROM Drive but I could not open it after I had finished a burn and closed it. THe DVD Drive did not spin as it would after closing.

Although I restarted and rebooted the laptop DVD Drive was unable to be opened.
