What is it to be used for? If your just browsing the net and checking email, simple tasks, there is nothing wrong with a Celoran chip. Why pay for the extras that you won't use? If your going to be doing serious video editing or playing video intense games. Or running several applications at once then go pentium or higher. If this is going to be say for a busy office computer then go for the pentium or more, dual core, qaud core.

I want to go like my grandfather did. Peacefully in his sleep. Not screaming at the top of my lungs like the passengers in his car.

If you are thinking of the future and you are purchasing a new computer (or doing a major upgrade), it is generally best to go one grade up from where you think you will be going in the near future. This is because your needs may change as well as changes in operating system (updates), browsers, and AV utilities will eventually have you craving for more speed down the road. Get the most you can comfortably afford (example: a 625.00 system might have an upgraded processor, a larger hard drive, and more memory than a 550.00 system, and that's maybe 12% more) [note to other 'helpers': Please don't bother to check/correct the math, it's pretty close] it's usually worth it.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

"whice one is better for future ?"

Future of what? Celerons, Pentiums & even the Core 2 Duo are old news. Intel is pushing the Core i series now...Core i3, Core i5 & Core i7 are the future (for now).
