Specs: Windows 7
Quick question guys,
Comparing a Pentium 4 and Celeron D , which is better? because I thought that the celeron D is a dual core where as p4 is single, and the more the merrier right?
Also how does the FSB speed affect the processor speed?
cheers

look at the third response
the celeron D is a dual core thus the "D" but its old and some how weak in some cases the pentium 4 beats it in others and by others i mean few cases the celelron beats it all depends on the fsb speed of each cpu and the multiplier

"Also how does the FSB speed affect the processor speed?"

FSB is the communication path between the CPU & RAM. There are numerous CPUs that run at 3.0GHz but have different FSB speeds - 400MHz FSB, 533MHz FSB, 800MHz FSB, etc. Generally, the faster the FSB, the faster the entire system.

"the celeron D is a dual core thus the "D"

The Celery D is actually a single-core CPU.
Clock for clock, the P4 is better.
