CD-RW not accesible. Incorrect function.

Specs: Windows XP
For years I have been able to burn CDs on my Lite on SOHR 5239S CD-RW. Suddenly, the drive will not open. When an audio CD is inserted, it picks up the music. When a blank CD-R is inserted, iTunes will recognize it. However, opening the CD-RW drive with a blank CD-R prompts the message:

D:\ is not accessible.

Incorrect function.

I have tried changing the registry values per Microsoft's instructions to no avail. I am running XP SP3 and also have a DVD drive installed. What else do you need to know?

Editing the registry is only relevant if the drive is not being detected by Windows - which isn't the case here.

I found this MS page though it may not apply to you:

I saw that too, but it's not the case. I had edited the registry values when I saw this:

because the recording tab is not present.

Fixed. I overlooked the NoCDBurning registry value.
