There's a small hole in the front of the cd player. Stick a paper clip or small wire into the hole and it should open up.

Grasp it with a pair of tongs / pliers etc and pull it out. Put electrical tape over the jaws of the pliers to protect the disk.

Thanks guys, your post told me what I needed to know to fix mine. On these Toshiba'
s there is a little gap above the DVD drive. If one side of the disk is up a tiny bit when the door is closed then the disk will be push into the gap above the drive instead of in the drive. My disk was in there for 6 months before I read this a discovered where it had gone. The only problem I noticed was that I seemed to get hot. I am hopeful that that is fixed now.
I got the disk out by opening the drive door and then powering it off and holding it with the disk drive down. Then I took a small screwdriver and inserted it in the gap. I carefully tried to just move the disk around a little. Eventually it slid out enough for me to grab it. I hope that helps some.
