Canyon wireless optical mouse axis suddenly reversed

July 28, 2015 at 18:35:34
Specs: Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit
Hello. I encountered a quite annoying problem. Not even a week has passed since I bought Canyon wireless optical mouse CNE-CMSW3. It worked fine until 20 minutes ago. Its movement directions suddenly got reversed for no apparent reason (push up - goes down, left - right and etc.). I tried searching for a solution but to no avail. Tried rebooting my laptop, uninstalling drivers through device manager, connecting to different USB ports, even different laptop, but the problem remained. Is it possible that something happened with the mouse itself or it's signal receiver, which goes into USB port? By the way, mouse wasn't droped or damaged in any other ways during this time. I managed to temporary fix the problem by using one simple app to reverse the axis directions but it only works only in windows. It is of no help if you try to use it in games for example.

If that's not it, usually there's a way to reset a wireless mouse--a button on the mouse or receiver. I couldn't find info for that on that particular mouse so you may need to consult the user guide.

Unfortunately, there is no such option in mouse settings. Also, there is no reset button or anything neither on mouse or receiver.

Can you remove the battery from the mouse for awhile? That might work to reset it.

sounds like a cheap mouse even if not just throw it away if not returnable under warranty and buy a name brand new one.

This is the Canyon web site:

http://canyon.eu/en/

Found your mouse CNE-CMSW3, it gives spec's but could not find a manual.

There is a "Contact Us", so you can try your question there
and see if they answer.

I looked at that website this morning. Their stuff appears to be
made of 100% pure, natural hype. All sales pitch, no content.
