Cant find mass storage device on computer

Specs: Windows 7
Hi, I have a USB mass storage device and cant seem to find it.
The computer does seem to know that it is their but I cant open it.
Im not a computer whizz.

Please help

Hi, thanks, but it doesnt show any usb drive only internal memory!
The usb is showing a light that is is def getting power and is on?
any other thoughts???

A mass storage device could be any storage device that is portable or removable. USB external hard drives, flash drives, memory cards.

What light, where? If you have an internal card reader check to see if you have media inserted. Also could be an optical disk (CDR/W or DVDR/W) that is configured to work as a removable drive. Check for disks.

More information helps. Get really specific as we can't see what you're looking at. Like brand, model, that sort of thing. Otherwise general replies are the best we can do.
