Solved Canon printer error message

Specs: Windows 7
My Canon MP510 has stopped printing it displays the error message ' the type of print head is incorrect install the correct print head'. What does this error message mean?

Unfortunately print heads (and cartridges) for old printers get expensive. Most likely your new printer will have heads built into the cartridges, yet can still be cheaper.

Yes I did change ink cartridges a month ago I have been told the print head needs replacing and that it would cost £100 so I just got new printer for £60. Thanks for replying.

Printer heads should not be that expensive. I recently bought a new HP print head online for less than 20 USD including shipping. Works as expected.

If you have this done by a service center .... calculate how much your work hours cost and be surprised it is ONLY 100 GBP.
