Interesting, I have the same problem. I can copy some movies to my external HD but cannot copy others (unexpected error:0). In all files I have read/write privileges, the HD is essentially empty so that this is not a matter of disk space. I have tried to open the movies in question in QuickTime Pro and then "save" them in the HD but again got the same error (unexpected error:0). Since the movies were downloaded through Vuze, I deleted the movies from the Vuze folder (even deleted the torrent) but still the moves cannot be copied. (Needless to say that Vuze is not running when attempting these operations.) The amazing thing (at least to me) is that I can copy the movies to my internal HD but, as I said, this operation cannot be performed in the external HD. Any hints??
