Hey guys,

So I just bought a Sata 1.5 T HDD hard drive to use as an external HDD, the problem is, I cant get the BIOS to detect it.

Im connecting it through the ESATA cable and I looked at all the places such as Storage Manager and what not to allocate and format it into NTFS.

Unfortunately it wont even get detected in the BIO's...

Can anyone help me?

Go to Disk Management to initialize and format it.

The Bios won't recognize a hard drive connected externally like that.

so initialize first by connecting it with a USB connection?

You 'should' be able to initialize it with the ESATA cable, if it's working ok.

Hmmm, might be a defective ESATA adapter.
If USB works, then initialize/format it with that.
