Cannot copy windows files

Specs: Windows XP
what will cause a SYSTEM not to copy INSTALLING FILES after several attempt of using different WINDOWS XP CDS

So, does it fail to copy some of the files while it`s at THIS point?

You didn`t read full post. Do you get stuck at this point?

EDIT: As said below, you are probably experiencing issues CD drive or the CD`s themself. I wouldn`t say it`s RAM problem (although it might be)

Bad cd's or failing hard disk. bad ram module. When windows fails to install, and the cd is ok...it's usually hardware, I'd test the hard disk and ram and rule those out.
