|Your warranty should cover you for 1 year and Best Buy is responsible for supporting that warranty. In short they need to fix it and if they cannot they need to replace it and return the defective one. Some smaller stores may make you send it back if they cannot support it but Best Buy does have a full tech department connected to it and they sell enough computers that the manufacturers have a very loose policy on returns, in fact they probably just return them directly to the refurbish shops that they use.|
Do not let them get away with this, be very firm and ask for a manager. The thing they cannot stand is someone who will not leave the support counter (will not quietly turn around and walk away), gets a little bit louder, and keeps insisting they get a new computer AND that they transfer their files over for them.
You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
