Specs: Windows vista, Intel pentium d cpu 2.80 GHz 2GB RAM
Hi I’m kinda new and don’t know that much about computers, but I have an old 2007 dell dimension e520. The cpu is an Intel pentium d 2.80 GHz, gpu is an Intel gma 3000, and it has 2GB of ram. I wanted to know if I can upgrade my graphics card to an evga GeForce 8800 gts 512 mb. I want to be able to play older games like sw kotor2 so if anyone has any advice on what I should upgrade my cpu and ram to.

Why would you pick such an old card, do you already have it? If you haven't upgraded the PSU, it's probably a 305W unit which isn't enough for that card. According to EVGA: "400 Watt/450 Watt or greater power supply with a minimum of 26 Amp/30 Amp on the +12 volt rail."

So you'll either have to upgrade the PSU to be able to use that card, or get a different card that's capable of working with your current PSU.

The card dimensions are in my other response, make sure it will fit in the case. Here's a PSU that will work. If you can order it today, there's a $10 rebate.
