|Ah ah August? Aah OF what year? Depends on what type of email account you have:|
- A personal POP account from your ISP.
- A business Email account from a corporate Email system like Microsoft Exchange or Novell GroupWise or Domino (Lotus Notes)?
- Webmail account like Gmail, Yahoo mail, MSN Hotmail/Live mail etc.
Also depends on how you're accessing your Email, via an Email client like Outlook, Outlook Express, Windows MAIL, Lotus Notes, AOL and how those settings are configured?
If you're using these Email clients, email is stored on a server, then gets downloaded to your local (ON your PC) Email Client. But then depending on your settings in your 1. Email client, 2. Your Email account, and 3. Settings on the Email servers, the email may be deleted off the server, or saved on the server (or both on the server and on your PC), after it is downloaded to your PC via your Email Client.
Then, add in Email storage, backup, quota size limits policies & standards that vary greatly per ISP and per business Email systems, and your old Email fro August MAY or MAY NOT not be on an old backup somewhere.
If you're using Webmail: Gmail, Yahoo mail, MSN Hotmail/Live mail etc., and if you deleted something, it may be in a recycle bin, or purged from their Webmail servers
I bet you're glad 'ya asked, aren't you?
Just another stupid saying...
