Hi

i'd like to upgrade my ram on my TOSHIBA SATELLITE L-30 134. It has two slots of 533 MHz. Is it possible to put 2x 1GB ram modules @ 667MHz each instead of 533 MHz?

The specs for model say it's max ram is 2g at 533mhz, with a bus speed of 533mhz. So if you added the new sticks, they would either not work or dumb down to 533mhz. In any event with a max bus seed of 533, with faster ram the bottleneck would be the bus speed. I would suggest leaving it the way it is, besides you would not see any significant improvement by adding 667mhz ram.

If the system is smart it will decrease the speed to 533 mhz.

It's better for a memory bandwidth to be more than FSB bandwidth.
