Hello, My Dell 4600 is very low on disc space, can I add more memory or ram to this computer. This is where it's at and I don't understand to much of it. But would like to know a little more before I call someone and start spending lots of money. Can I do it my self?

Here are the specs for your computer. Disk space has nothing to do with memory. If you are running low on disk space, you could install another hard drive, internal or external. I see you have 2 gigs of memory now, some being shared with your video. The machine hold 4 gigs, but XP 32 bit operating systems can only utilize 3.5 gigs. You could add another 1 gig if you want.

"very low on disc space" means your hard drive is almost full. As stated above, this has nothing to do with memory. You need to start deleting old/unnecessary files & uninstalling old/unnecessary programs. Also, start burning files that you do need/want to CDs or DVDs, then you can delete the originals. And make sure you empty the recycle bin!

Try using CCleaner-slim to free up some disk space:

Your running low on disk space which has nothing to do with memory. You can add another hard drive. You have 2 gigs of memory which is enough for everyday tasks.
