Specs: Windows 8.1, I5
I used an hdmi to DVI adapter so I can hook my laptop to my monitor since my laptops monitor died and I tried other laptops but didn't like them so I decided to keep mine. To my surprise I thought there would be a major lag delay using an HDMI output but I can play online FPS games just as good as using the laptop's screen itself. My monitor supports 75hz (its old) and I changed the setting in my game to support 75hz and the game looks smoother (not sure if its my imagination or not). So if I buy a 200hz monitor would it support that using the HDMI output from my laptop? Thanks.

It believe it would depend on the video card.
