Please don't call your computer a CPU. The CPU on your shopping list is an AMD Phenom II X4 975. This AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition CPU is $60 cheaper, all you need to do is overclock it:

Are you in the US? Why are you shopping all over the place? There's little reason to shop anywhere else but Newegg. Here's a few more comments & hardware suggestions for you to mull over:

- why waste all that money on a case & then buy a crappy power supply?

- why a 700 series board when there are 800 & 900 series boards with USB 3.0 & SATA 6Gb/s available?

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...

- why are you paying so much for 8GB RAM (DDR3-1333?) ?

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...

- why do you need a separate sound card when onboard sound has gotten so good? You'd just be wasting $65 that could be better spent elsewhere.

- poor hard drive configuration. I can understand going with a smaller drive for the OS, but only 20GB? That's ridiculous. How about a single platter 320GB or 500GB HDD for the OS & a 1TB (or larger) HDD for storage?

- DVD burners sell for about $20, why spend $30?

EDIT: corrected CPU link

thank you for your input, it is all GREATLY APPRECIATED,

as for the 20gb harddrive thing, my os currently only takes up about 3.4 gb, i didnt really think needing all that space for a single operating system was necessary, (but im not putting the idea down, just adding my thoughts), i must say, youve saved me money an allot of things, especially the Hdd, thank you soo much!

also, as far as the processor is concerned, i dont want to overclock it, im not sure why, ive just never been a fan of it, besides if anything, i think id overclock the AMD Phenom II X4 975, now as for everything else, theres no disputing it, im going to re edit my list right now, THANK YOU

also anyone else who wants to give their input, please feel free, its all welcome =D

also, do you think ill need a better cooling unit for the cpu?, i think the one included will be fine, but my friend is a major computer enthusiast, and hes telling me to get a different heatsink/cpu fan, then again, he's also telling me to get a Xeon processor

"as for the 20gb harddrive thing, my os currently only takes up about 3.4 gb, i didnt really think needing all that space for a single operating system was necessary"

It's about speed. A 20GB HDD is most likely very old / slow (maybe only ATA-66) with a very small buffer (512K or 1MB). And think of all the territory the read head has to cover for that puny 20GB - the entire 3.5" platter!

20GB out of a 320GB HDD is only about 7% of the disk so the read head would only move a small fraction of the disc, not to mention it's modern "high speed" SATA technology & would have a buffer of 16MB, 32MB, maybe even 64MB.

"also, as far as the processor is concerned, i dont want to overclock it, im not sure why, ive just never been a fan of it, besides if anything, i think id overclock the AMD Phenom II X4 975"

If you look at all the Black Edition Phenom II X4's, you'll find they're all based on the Deneb core, so they're all virtually the small CPU. The only difference is the default multiplier. The X4 955 multipler is 16x, the X4 975 is 18x. And the reason most people by the Black Edition is because the multiplier is fully unlocked. Why would you pay the premium for an overclockable CPU if you have no intention to overclock it? You'd be better off getting the X4 840 that runs at the same clock speed as the X4 975, but has an upwardly locked multiplier. The 840 is only $95 plus it's a 95W CPU vs the Black Editions which are 125W.

No, especially since you're not an overclocker.

Hey, I realized I didn't comment on the graphics card. This article will cover it:
