Solved BSOD graphics programmes

September 12, 2011 at 09:07:35
Specs: Windows Vista 64, PHENOM 9950/8gb
computer enters BSOD normally when using photoshop or other graphics progs. Found programme where it always BSODs to judge my tests upon. adobe DNG converter! motherboard - gigabyte MA790X-DS4 - CPU AMD PHENOM 9950, OS VISTA 64 & graphics card ATI RADEON 3800. Have uninstalled drivers for graphics card but still crashes whether in normal mode or safe mode. have carried out same process on laptop and it works without a problem. Any ideas to determine whether it is CPU, graphics card, motherboard, ram, hard drives or vista 64? Have reinstalled vista and minimum software but it still happens. Any thoughts? thanks Duncan

memory management

if this is 1st time etc
(naturally it isn't)
check 2make hardware & software properly installed etc (done)
if probs continue, disable or remove any new hardware or software (done as much as can as know vga socket in motherboard)

disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing

technical info

How would I disable bios memory options?

i should've asked on here months ago. Did all the testing as you suggested and low & behold 1 memory stick wasn't working! DNG converter is now working without crashing.I'll buy you a pint if I ever meet you. Thanks very much. Duncan
