Specs: Windows XP
My monitor is a emachine and both sides of the screen are concave.I think the statement is simple and straightfoward. I am writing this to inorder to reach100 charactors.Sorry for the inconvience.

I agree with Pappy that using the OSM(On Screen Menu), reset the monitor to default settings or factory default.

Is the monitor LCD or is it an old CRT type?

It's called the "pin cushion" effect and usually only CRT monitors suffer from this.
It can usually be corrected with the monitor's adjustment buttons.

Yeah, that's just what I was thinking (hence my question in #3).

If it is a CRT and it cannot be fixed from customer controls it is probably time to replace it with a cheap LCD. I don't recommend any attempts to repair a CRT monitor unless you really know what you are doing and are fully aware of safety issues (even when unplugged).
