Solved boot in safe mode

August 27, 2013 at 06:47:35
Specs: Windows 7
I am trying to boot up in safe mode by pressing F8 repeatedly, but it does not give that option.

I am told that that Packard Bell for some reason do it different by using F8 and then something else!

Can anyone please help

F8 is a function of Windows not the computer or BIOS. There is no reason why a Packard Bell should be any different than any other computer.

Make sure you start tapping F8 as soon as anything appears on the screen. There is a very short window when F8 is available and tapping the key early enough is the only way of making sure you catch that window.

If you tap F8 too soon you will get a list of bootable devices. That is a BIOS function. If that happens, just select the hard disk where Windows is installed and boot from that and continue tapping F8 as Windows begins to load.

My apologies Stuart for my ridiculously late reply to your very kind reply to my question.

I have just sorted out my much needed spam folder.
