Do you have an add in video card in addition to the onboard video?

Why did you perform a factory restore anyway?

Hi, thanks for getting back to me, I do not have any aftermarket add ons for my xp, my x screwd up the computer when he was pissed one day and did a format a couple times over on it, when I left for work I had 30% memory used when I came home I had 6% memory left, I about died, I did'nt even have enough memory to run a program, he mentioned PC Angel a couple times, wouldnt admit to much more than that, he said it was too slow and that was his excuse, it took me 3 months to retrieve lost data, then it crashed? couldnt do anything to it, clueless on my original admins password, then I found out he pulled the battery out, I end up putting my XP Recovery CD in, seems to accept it, my XP screen flashes the boot process etc, but, it will not show the welcome screen, it's blue, see nothing at all, no matter what pre-keys I depress when booting up, F8, F10,12 nothing, computer was perfectly good, very healthy, I'm at a loss for answers and no one seems to have the right solution, HELP

Did your computer originally have a PS/2 type keyboard? If so, connect it again to gain entry into Windows Safe Mode by tapping F8 at start up.
