Black screen on laptop. Power cord replaced still black???

Specs: Linux
Tried battery out unplug cord hold start button 60seconds took out ram cards. Powered down cord. Worked then had to restart computer now will not work black screen. Re did all the above and still power lites on black screen

It's kind of hard to follow your Tonto-speak but it sounds like you started getting a black screen on bootup and did some rituals hoping to fix it. After that it booted once but now you're back to the black screen.

Do you get the laptop's logo or posting screen or does the screen stay dark the entire time it's powered on?

Can you tell if it's booting into windows--any hard drive activity as evidenced by the HD led? If so it's a problem with the screen. Do you hear drives and fans spin up? Does the optical drive tray open? If yes I'd think the battery and charger are OK but the problem is internal with the motherboard or screen.

You should probably post back specs on your laptop so other can join in with additional advice.

Try an external monitor.
