Why did you set a BIOS password in the 1st place? And what is it that you need to change in the BIOS settings?

If your system has a floppy drive, you can use a program called KILLCMOS to wipe the password & reset all the BIOS settings to the defaults.

I don't think killcmos will work on a laptop BIOS password. Could be wrong. OP probably doesn't have a floppy drive anyway and can't change the boot order to use something else.

I am always skeptical of these password requests anyway.

You're right, I should have looked up the specs 1st. I just did & found the following review which states: "60%: Such a bad rating is rare. There exist hardly any notebooks, which are rated worse."

I didn't look up the specs either. Most laptops in use today don't have one. Odds are on for no floppy.
