Specs: Windows XP Home SP3
hi all.
Every thing seems to be working fine... but .... my BFG Video Card... 7800GS OC USB 256 must have an alarm on it ?
When changing screens in Video games, even when not an overly high def image... a horrible, loud a screeching alarm sound comes on. I have traced the sound to the video card with automotive stethoscope. The vid. card fan is working properly (set to always on)(the fan bearing feels smooth and perfect)... all my fans work great.... nothing is hot.. Forceware 93,71 reports 49c degrees... with slowdown threshold set at 115c. Nothing else in box is hot.... lots of 120mm fans. I didn't even know they had an alarm on the card ???.
Any ideas ?
450 w power supply, AMD x2 4800+, 2 gig ram, 4 hard drives... OS & utilities on 160gig hd, two 160gig is Raid0 for Apps, one 320 gig hd for storage. All hd's are PATA. Asus A8V Deluxe mother board.
All ideas welcome... thanks in advance

Download the latest drivers from nvidia, and download "ntune". Install ntune and set the video card fan control to 100% manually. Play a few games or whatever and see if that fixes it.

The other thing is you did remember to plug up the power cord to the video card right?
