Battery heating up after shut down

Specs: Windows XP
After shutting down and placed the laptop in carrier bag, sometimes the laptop found to heat up very hot later and the battery becomes flat. Is it battery problem? Happened a few times.

Dell had a smiler problem like this a few years back. They did a recall on the laptops because some cases the computer would catch on fire. I would defiantly call Fujitsu tech support. They may have the same defect which is 100% warrantied.

For now, see if the computer will work without the battery. Also, are you sure the computer turned off completely before putting it in the bag. If you shut the lid before the computer turns off completely some computers will go into a Stand By state which will continue to draw from the battery. In addition, does your laptop have a 3D Drive protection. I had a computer like this where if you turned the computer on its side it would turn the hard drive off not allowing windows to shut down fully and when I pulled it from my bag it was hot because it was running the whole time.

Check your battery, if it falls in warranty period call send it to support center.
