Specs: Windows XP SP3
I have a LENOVO 3000 Y 410 7757-8CQ Notebook.
Core 2 Duo T5550 (1.83 GHz)
160 GB SATA HDD, 5400 RPM
14.1 IN 1200 x 800 LCD
Intel X3100
Broadcom 802.11bg
I have recently changed my notebookbattery to a new one. I have observed that the charging gets stuck at 99% and would not go into the ONLINE CHARGING or AC MODE.I have tried some methods like disconnecting the power and let the charge down to 95% and then start again; but of no use. Is it a battery defect or something else. Please help

I think that is normal because my macbook does that when it is plugged in it says 98%. I found an article on apple's website stating that it is normal, so it might be the same for you.

I've seen it before too. In fact, I have an old Itronix that charges to 98 or 99% and sits that way for days until I finally notice 100%. Might be a little odd but I wouldn't worry about it either. Might be a minor glitch in the battery circuitry.

You can try to completely discharge the battery and then recharge but it didn't makea a difference with mine.
