Attention - Philips' I90S goes nuts!

July 24, 2012 at 23:11:52
Specs: Windows XP
Every once in a while my computer screen (a Philips I90S) goes nuts by showing time and again the message "Attention monitor controls locked". I have updated the driver, pressed the menue button for 20 secs then for two min. but nothing works; The message keeps on popping, sometimes showing different options of the screen setting- which no one ever uses...
Is this the Philips product we used to count on although it was pricy?

Do you mean a Philips 190s, I can't find an I90s? Anyway, the monitor shouldn't need drivers so I'm not sure what you've been updating. Are all of the control buttons along the edge of the monitor working? If there isn't one that specifically locks the monitor there could be a button stuck in so check & see if one or more are stuck.

Is this the one you're asking about?

Have you read the manual or checked the Philips site?

"To unlock the OSD Controls press the “MENU(OK)” button for more than 10 seconds while there is video input from PC"

And make sure you have the resolution set correctly - 1440x900 @ 60Hz.
