Asus P53e Manual

January 30, 2012 at 10:41:21
Specs: Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit, 3 GHz / 1919 MB
I purchased the subject notebook few days ago. I installed an image from my PC on it because I needed a new computer and wanted to keep my OS, programs and data. In the process I wiped out any data on the notebook. My fault. Before I did the transfer I noticed that there was a manual of sorts on the notebook. It described the keyboard and lights and other controls. I should have copied it before wiping the HD. Now I need an instruction of some sort to get the lights to work and to understand the keyboard.
Can anybody help?

Google the model number and I am sure the manufacture will have a manual on-line.

Is there a possibility if an 'image' of an os etc. from a pc is copied to a notebook, the notebook os will subsequently not work due to hardware differences etc.

Blockie has not advised the make/model/os of the pc, although it appears the Asus notebook has w7.

Good Luck - Keep us posted.

He doesn't.
Sorry!
Just this morning I found the manual on the Asus site. It was listed last on the list for P53E software downloads.

Blockie,

a short response such as above helps nobody.

My above query(1) was addressed to all, with a view to helping you, as possibly you are going to be unsuccesful moving the 'old' os to your Netbook. This is because late window's os's are tied to the hardware they are installed on.

You have not replied to 'your' query(2). If you find time to so do so, it may help others respond to query (1). You can modify your above post, using the edit facility.

Good Luck - Keep us posted.
