I picked up a never been used ASUS M4A89GTD PRO/USB3 motherboard without a manual. I currently don't have a video card for it and want to use the onboard video. Do I need the VGA Switch card in still when using onboard video?

Below is a link to the manual and other information for that board.
According to the specs found thru OtheHill's link, the board has "Integrated ATI Radeon™ HD 4290 GPU" and the gallery shows a pic of the I/O ports - VGA, DVI, or HDMI. http://www.amd.com/en-us/products/c...

All you have to do is connect the monitor to the onboard port & you should be good to go. Assuming you install Windows, you will have to download & install the appropriate drivers (always install chipset driver 1st). You should also tweak the graphics settings in the BIOS, along with all the other settings...that should be considered standard practice whenever installing a new or different board. Don't forget to bench-test before installing it in the case!
BTW, nice board. :-)
Thanks, some reason I couldn't quite catch the no card point. It runs linux mint cinnamon 18 64 bit quite nice. I'll be installing it on a samsung sata 3 ssd. Compaq Presario SR2010NX
