Solved ASUS k53e laptop screen problem

Specs: Windows 7
Near the top of the display, have 3 or 4 small areas gone black in what looks like ink dropping down from the top. ??

Try an external monitor on it, as this will help diagnose the problem.

What looks like ink dripping down is actually the liquid crystal fluid and it means the screen is physically damaged in that area. It will get progressively worse over time and the only fix is to fit a new screen.

As Derek rightly says, connecting an external monitor will confirm this as the external monitor should not have the same problem, thus proving that the laptop screen needs changing.
