AOC E2460SD Monitor No Picture

January 10, 2015 at 05:47:23
Specs: Windows 7
I inadvertently changed the input on the monitor from D-Sub to DVI and am not getting any picture. When I turn on the monitor, it shows DVI Input - No signal, and then goes blank. I cannot make the change because there is no picture for me to know what I'm changing. Is there any way to revert back to either D-Sub or Auto input?

How do you inadvertently change monitor cables from VGA to DVI? The monitor should automatically detect the video input signal regardless of the type of cable used. If you're getting "no signal" displayed on the screen, the problem is either with the tower or the monitor cable. If you mean that you somehow changed the setting on the monitor itself, just press the appropriate button on the monitor (lower right corner) to bring up the OSD (on screen display), then find the appropriate input setting. Here's the manual:

If you mean you changed a setting in Windows try tapping F8 immediately after powering on and see if you get the startup menu (white letters on black screen). If so you could select Safe Mode from the list and see if you can reset the changes from there.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
