Your system is pretty outdated. The motherboard is based on the 10+ yr old nForce 420 chipset that was introduced back in the days of socket 754 & 939. It only accepts a max of 2GB RAM plus it has the CPU limitations.

I don't know why it says 64W only for the X2, but it does. Does it mean a 65W won't work? I don't know. I'd say your best bet is a single core Athlon64 & upgrade to 2GB RAM. I don't recommend running Win7 on that system.

I,ve already got Win7 on the computer and it runs fine, it can even run the mass effect 3 demo fine, not sure why there is a 64w limitation, it might be a consumption or heat out put, the current CPU is around 62w and it goes to 50c on 100% load.
Any way its faster than it was with Windows vista home basic by far.
Any suggestions?
Doesn't matter if its outdated or not it works and thats good enough, this CPU is still way better than the intel celery D.
