We have the answer. you need to remove carefully the ribbon from the panel inside the LCD. Turn on, turn off. Plug back in. you are no connect to the entire foil strip
around the LCD glass, you are back in business with the Touch screen.

Dunno if it is hardware or software.

On some tablets that I have you need to check bios settings and check that the proper input device is in the OS.

What happened? Was there screen damage? How did it stop?

1/3 of highway deaths are caused by drunks. The rest are by people who can't drive any better than a drunk.

Have you actually taken a CF-29 non working TS and made the screen then work?
That would make you a small mint from the hundreds of folks just buying off eBay.

We know its a bios issue because we can enable and disable it. However we know it is not a OS issue because we can reinstall all the original drivers doing an original system restore to no affect. So its not a driver issue.

We came to the conclusion its the screen. Most folks mess with BIOS drivers downloading stuff. All you need to do is remove a working touch and put it on the machine you want to make touch. Very simple. We buy a 1.2 GHz Touch machine, harvest the screen, put it on a non working 1.6 and now we have a sought after 1.6.

The thing is? is your screen attached properly, that's where its at.
