Airport Scans Damage Laptop Screens

Specs: Windows 10, 8GB
My laptop screens get temporarily damaged about 60% of the time that I travel. I've read scanning machines do nothing to laptops, but there's just way too much "coincidence". Aside from my own experience, my son's laptop just recovered a couple of weeks after travel.

I remove my laptop/iPad from cabin luggage at the security check in, and it can then be inspected appropriately. That’s been the norm wherever I check in in USA/Canada, UK/Europe... “They” don’t scan it.
