Hold down the Fn key and press the F5 key. This will toggle between the internal display, external display, or both. It's possible you accidentally changed it to the external display only.

The on-board video or video card software is capable of switching between two display.

i have tried to use multiple monitors by right clicking on desktop going to settings, video settings, and what it did was actually making my external monitor as the second, but the primary monitor, remained black. so then i had to right click on the desktop again and selectin nvidia control panel and then it made external monitor as primary.
but the monitor on laptop did not even blink. tried to reinstall drivers but did not help.
a few days ago it started working for about 2 minutes and then it gone black again
i have changed inverter and cable nothing helped. what coul it be?

It sounds like the backlight is not working and you need to replace the laptop screen.

If the backlight is bad u can still see the content on the screen with no light.

Try shining a flashlight at the laptop screen.
