accessing files

Specs: win xp pro, 2.0 1g
my friend has 2 hard drives from old xp desk top computers that she needs to access her documents off of. i have access to an external hard drive enclosure(usb) and used it to connect the old hard drives to a working xp computer. when i open the old hard drive i can view the following folders and files:


Recovery(padlock icon) when opens gives a warning to not delete

smrtntky: which device folder inside and a couple of messages

autorun message:

setupsnk file


but, i don't see any document files. any suggestions on how to access those files? thanks,

A recovery folder may indicate you've got a drive with 2 partitions--one for normal OS operation and one for recovery. If so, you've accessed the recovery partition. The OS partition should show as a separate drive.

The other files/folders are from running "Wireless Network Setup Wizard in Windows XP SP2":

I hooked the external enclosure up to my home computer (vista) and could see both partitions and all files. Thanks to Jennifer and Dave for input!
