Specs: dos3, 8088
can anyone tell me the majic keys to hold to access the cmos on an old Compaq suitcase ? It's been in storage for years, battery went dead of course. 8088 processor, single large floppy drive. Seagate ST-225 hd. I had it loaded with dos, so it didn't need a boot disc. Now on boot, it just shows 601. The hd is trying to access, but eventually the led just flash's on, then off for a while, then flash's again, then stays off for a while, etc, etc...... I just can't remember what keys to hold down when you turn it on to get into the cmos.... or ??? HELP ! :) please ?

Try them all. some combo of or one of alt, F1, F2, F10, F12, insert or delete. Maybe a few others.

Why did it take me over a year to phone in a problem to ATT?

As answered in your other post, there is no CMOS. Parameters are set by switches and/or jumpers.
