i just bought a new toshiba laptop and i have a few questions: how long do they usually last before you have to buy a new one? whats the first thing that goes in a laptop? any tips to how i can make my laptop last longer? note: i never take my laptop out of my room. i removed the battery coz its always plugged in to power and i dont want to overcharge the battery and ruin it...
To make it last, keep it clean and dust free and elevated. Heat buildup and dust will shorten the life of any machine. The other questions are all relative to usage. If you only turn it on once, it will last 100 years.
I have had two (fujitsu and dell) last more than 10 years, batteries and fans go, Keep it clean and cools. Second group (dell and emachine) for more than two years. Annoying problems with browsers and addons/upgrades.
